Leaders in Industrial Thermal Insulation & Abatement Solutions since 1982
Inscan Contractors Inc. announces that Operations Manager Chris Paszkat and General Foreman Adam Wells are now Certified Thermal Insulation Inspectors™. To achieve certification, they had to meet experience and knowledge requirements to be accepted into a rigorous 4-day training program held by the National Insulation Association (NIA), and then pass multiple examinations. As Certified Thermal Insulation Inspectors, they are qualified to inspect and verify that both the materials used and the total insulation system are installed correctly, in accordance with project specifications. They also can identify areas of concern with previously installed insulation systems.
Properly installed and maintained mechanical insulation systems support energy savings, reducing emissions, and occupational and process safety initiatives, while helping reduce the need for potential additional capital funds due to corrosion under insulation (CUI) and other problematic concerns.
Inspection can be an integral part of quality assurance/quality control, compliance monitoring, commissioning, and other processes, helping to ensure the benefits for which the mechanical insulation system was designed are achieved. Inspection can assist in identifying potential CUI, environmental challenges, and other areas of concern before they become larger, more costly issues.
